Edea invented the lace holders to keep the lacing longer and hide the laces, thus avoiding annoying fluttering and possible penalties in the race.
Tests have shown that they are more effective if placed in the central hook.
They were designed to hook them into the inner part of the shoe leaving the longer tongue on the outside so as not to hinder the skating.
